Who We Are

We’re a new church in Sarasota with roots in the community. Whether you’re new to church, returning after a long time, or just exploring, you’re welcome to come as you are and take your next step at your own pace.  We are an interdenominational church part of a larger network of churches.

Leadership

Jonathan has been serving in pastoral ministry for over twenty years as a lead and executive pastor in churches of 40 to 4000 people.  He is an author, church coach, entrepreneur.  In his spare time, you’ll find him tinkering around the house or on the golf course.  He and Gina have been married for 18 years and love being parents to Grace and Hope

Our Mission

to make disciples of Jesus who love God, themselves and others.

Our Core Values

We Put Jesus First

We follow and live for Jesus – because everything is about Him and for Him. (Matthew 4:19; Colossians 1:16–18)

We are Scripture-Led & Spirit-Empowered

We pray first.  We live by the truth of Scripture.  We rely on the Holy Spirit to empower us. (John 16:13; Phil 4:6; 2 Tim 3:16-17)

We Are Spiritually Formed

We take our next steps in faith, growing and living for the glory of God. (Philippians 1:6, Colossians 3:23)

We Walk Together

We share life side by side — learning, serving, and stewarding our church as a spiritual family. (Acts 2:42-44; Ephesians 2:19)

We Invite Everyone

We prioritize people and relationships, making room for anyone to follow Jesus with us. (Matthew 11:28; Romans 10:9-10)

We Live Beyond Ourselves

We make a difference as we live on mission, serve God’s Kingdom, and care for our community. (Matthew 6:33; 2 Timothy 2:2)

We Stay Young

We stay open and future-facing, trusting, empowering, and releasing the next generation today. (Joel 2:28; 1 Timothy 4:12)

Our Story

We didn’t move to Sarasota to start a church.

We moved here for our family — to build a life in a place that already felt like home. Jon’s mom grew up here, and over the years we found ourselves returning again and again. Sarasota had always held our hearts.

After settling in, we heard about a church that had closed and was in need of renewal — a pastor, fresh vision, and the possibility of new life. And slowly, we began to dream.

We learned that only about 9% of people in the Sarasota–Bradenton area attend church on a Sunday morning. But more than statistics, we sensed something deeper — a quiet hunger. Not for hype. Not for performance. But for something real.

This isn’t unfamiliar ground for us. Over the past 20 years, we’ve planted and served as Lead and Executive pastor roles in churches of 40 to 4,000 people.  We’ve helped other churches at a denominational level.

What began as a simple love for this city became a quiet conviction: Sarasota didn’t just need another church. It needed a place where people could encounter Jesus without pressure, grow in faith without performance, and find real community that could actually be lived.

A place that felt deep, but not heavy.
Honest, but not loud.

Grounded in Scripture, shaped by relationships, and attentive to real life.

That conviction has become a calling.
And that calling is becoming the beginning of something new.

We believe God is writing a story here — not built on hype, but on faithfulness.
Not centered on a personality, but on Jesus.
Not rushed, but rooted.

If you’re curious… if you’ve been cautious… if you’re simply looking for a place where faith feels real and human again — you’re welcome here.

Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God for faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)

God

We believe there is one God, as creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, vicarious and atoning sacrifice, bodily resurrection, ascension to and exaltation of the Father, and personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14; John 20:28; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:18-21; 1 Timothy 3:16)

Salvation

We believe humanity, created in God’s image, has fallen through sin, and that salvation is offered to all by God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. (Gen 1:26-27; Rom 3:23; Rom 5:12; Rom 10:9-10; Acts 3:19; Eph 2:8-9)

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells us as believers, fills us to produce spiritual fruit, equips us to minister spiritual gifts, and calls us to overflow in His power. (Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 12:4-11; Gal 5:22-23; Eph 5:18)

The Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ expressed in the local church. (Ephesians 2:19–22, 1 Cor 12:12-27; Heb 10:24-25)

Future

We believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to eternal damnation. (John 5:28-29; Rev 20:11-15)

Human Life

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death.  (Gen 1; Psalm 139)

Family

We believe God creates each person as either male or female (Genesis 1:26–27).  We believe that marriage is a covenant instituted by God, defined as the exclusive, lifelong union between one man and one woman, and that it is the proper context for companionship, family, and sexual intimacy (Genesis 2:18–25; Matthew 19:4–6). Any sexual activity outside of it – including adultery, fornication, cohabitation, homosexual behavior, or the use of pornography—is sinful and dishonors God (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2–5; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 15:18–20; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11).
